Fantôme Saison

Ok, so its time for another review. This time I have a nice one for you all; it’s called Fantôme Saison brewed by Brasserie Fantôme in Belgium. I bought this at Dreagers market in San Mateo for $14.99 (ouch) for a 750ml bottle. I have wanted to try this for sometime but was unable to find it. It was to my surprise and pleasure to find this beer here in San Mateo. I put it in the fridge to chill then I popped the cork and poured the beer, poured a slightly hazy golden color with a nice white head. The aromas where of lemons, melon, barnyard hay and musty yeast with a little alcohol. First taste flavors of citrus and sour apple then balanced by the malt sweetness and a semi-dry finish. Wow sweet and sour delicious!! Really enjoyed this beer this would be perfect on a hot sunny day as a thirst quencher all in all a great Saison.
